English is the only language spoken at home by 92 per cent of residents in Bulloo, according to the 2021 Census, and Mandarin is the most common of the others. One language clears the one-in-100 mark. That places it 470th of 542 local government areas on the diversity index.

A note on method: 21 residents didn't state a language, and this page doesn't count them as speaking one. That's why 1.2% sits below the 7.5% you'd get by counting every blank, and below 1.3% measured across respondents only.
Two caveats: summing suburbs leaves out residents with no usual address, so national totals land a little under ABS published figures, and ranked lists leave out broad ABS categories that don't name a language.
