Enterprise Translation Partnership with Uniting

A decade-long translation partnership across 550+ services in NSW and ACT
CHALLENGE

Uniting is one of Australia's largest not-for-profit organisations, delivering over 550 services across NSW and the ACT — spanning aged care, retirement and independent living, early learning, disability, chaplaincy, and community services.

Their client base includes people from more than 130 different cultural groups. That means brochures, flyers, information sheets, and service communications need to be translated regularly, accurately, and at scale — across multiple languages, with formatting that works as well in Dari as it does in English.

The challenge: find a translation partner that could deliver consistent quality across a high volume of ongoing work, support internal teams with production capabilities they didn't have in-house, and do it reliably — year after year.

SOLUTION

Over ten years, LEXIGO has translated Uniting's service communications into more than 10 languages, enabling the organisation to extend its reach across NSW and the ACT to communities who would otherwise face barriers to accessing critical support services.

Uniting now serves over 130 cultural groups with in-language materials, ensuring the people who need their services most can actually access them.

IMPACT

LEXIGO was engaged as Uniting's enterprise translation partner — a relationship now in its tenth year.

Our approach was built around three priorities:

Consistency at scale
Uniting's communications span dozens of service areas and audience segments. LEXIGO established dedicated workflows and terminology management to ensure translation quality remained consistent across every piece of collateral — regardless of language, format, or volume.

Production-ready delivery
Translation is only part of the equation. LEXIGO's desktop publishing and typesetting capabilities mean Uniting receives print-ready, professionally formatted documents in every target language — removing the burden from internal design and communications teams.

Partnership, not transactions
Over a decade of collaboration, LEXIGO has developed deep familiarity with Uniting's voice, service areas, and audience needs. This institutional knowledge reduces turnaround times, minimises revision cycles, and ensures every translation reflects the care and professionalism Uniting brings to its own services.
